width=250School leavers achieve great results at KwaThintwa School for the Deaf

When the first class of Grade 12 children of KwaThintwa School for the Deaf at Inchanga Mission wrote their final examinations last year it was with high hopes of good results.

And they didn’t disappoint. Our fist group of ‘graduates’ achieved a 70% pass rate - with 100% pass rate in English; dramatic arts; and life orientation.

We pay tribute to the kindness of supporters who – five years ago - helped to provide special hearing aids and transmitters. These played a significant role in the children's success.

‘2009 will certainly go down in history as a phenomenal and memorable year for all at KawThintwa’ says principal Mavis Naidoo. 'Not only was it action packed with challenges - it was also filled with recognition and achievement.

‘The greatest highlight of 2009 was definitely seeing our first group of final year pupils complete their end of year exams.’

The pupils of KwaThintwa thank you – and so do we. You are part of their wonderful achievements and the bright future that awaits them.
