The fruits of your offerings

Every Easter the number of new Catholics received into the Church is testimony to the work you help us do in this Archdiocese.

One of these new Catholics is a young woman named Mrs Mhlanzi. Here is her story which she wrote for us before Easter:

‘I got married two years ago and had decided not to leave my Lutheran Church no matter what.

My husband’s home is situated in an area where there is a small Catholic community called St Dominic’s. As a newcomer I was invited to join this community. What a surprise! What a welcome! There was a beautiful present that awaited me – right from the first day I felt part of the community.

The love that was shown to me was amazing. And I was so impressed that I said to myself: 'My new best and warm home is the Catholic Church.' The year rolls rather too slowly. Come Easter Vigil and let me enjoy total membership of being a Catholic.’

By the time you read this Mrs Mhlanzi will have joyfully been received into the Church – another member of your Catholic family in Africa.
